Hello, fellow nail art enthusiasts. I am quite sorry that I haven’t been posting anything lately. School has been quite busy for me and I just haven’t had the time to paint my nails. I’ve also been pondering the thought of something – a new blog address. I wanted something sassy and bold, something less plain-ol’-Jane like. So, I am typing this post to you guys to announce my new blog address:
Although there is nothing on the blog at the moment, I wanted to announce in advance so my fellow followers could keep an eye out for when I post new things. Now, although I have indeed been busy with school, I will make time on the weekends for new blog posts, etc. I already have a few blog posts that I have already done, just waiting to be posted!
I hope none of my followers are bothered by the change of address and continue to stick with me on this journey!
I’ve had these little tubes of micro-beads sitting in my drawer of all-things-nail-art for quite some time now.. For some reason, I was scared to even try them out. I have no idea why, I just was. Maybe it was the huge mess I thought it would make or the process of pouring the beads over my nails – who knows! But, I finally sat down yesterday and did my nails with these cute little micro-beads!
Pearls by Essence
These colourful micro-beads were purchased from Essence, a really inexpensive brand at my local drugstore. I think it looks like sprinkles on my nails!

I bought all six of the above bottles of micro-beads from my local Michael‘s store. They came in a set for around $12. It was a bit expensive, but you can get a lot of manicures out of just one jar of these fine micro-beads! I did one hand for every colour and a barely made a dent in the bottle! I even went back and redid a few colours (Capri and Ocean) because I forgot to take a picture with the tube of micro-beads! I like the sprinkle-coating these micro-beads give off!
I hope you enjoyed your stay at nailsbyvi!

Hello, my fellow readers! It’s been quite a long time since I sat down to paint my nails.. Unfortunately, I had a bad break in my nails. But, I am embracing my shorties and moving on!
I am here today with the 31 Day Challenge and the very first prompt is “RED”.
If you click on the above picture, it will bring you to chalkboardnail‘s blog, which is where the 31 Day Challenge got known!
For this manicure, I pulled out my acrylic paints and a bright red polish called “All Fired Up” by Sally Hansen. For the whispy lines across my nail, I used a fan brush dipped in water and the acrylic paints.
I hope you enjoyed my nail art for the 31 Day Challenge! I’m hoping to catch up to the others (Day 11) soon. Keep posted!
If you don’t have a blog but would like to participate in this super-awesome challenge, use the hashtag #31DC2014 on your social media accounts!
None of the products that are mentioned below were given to me for a review. I bought the products through my own will and am simply giving my honest opinion of a product I decided to buy.
No animals were harmed in the creation of these super cute leopard frenchies!
Today I decided to go for an all-neon theme mostly because I had recently bought a glow in the dark top coat by Essence. It was really cheap and I wasn’t even sure if it was going to work to begin with. So, I figured if it was going to work at all, it was going to work best with colours that were already bright! So, that’s what inspired my neon leopard frenchies!
I have to say that I was quite surprised with Essence’s glow in the dark top coat. It did, indeed, work but, it didn’t glow quite enough to get pictures. I think that the top coat is powered by the natural sunlight because after a while, the top coat stopped glowing in the dark (after a few minutes), which quite disappointed me! The back of the bottle says that all it needs is 2 coats of the top coat (which I did) and it would glow in the dark. Simple as that. It shouldn’t stop glowing after a few minutes! Also, I put the same amount of top coat on every single nail, but some nails were glowing more than others.

This is my first ever blog post. Please bare with me!
Today I have a flowery manicure inspired by my polish High Frequency by Formula X for Sephora from their New Classics Collection. For this manicure, I used The System, but regular base and top coat is completely usable! I also used a white striper brush which I purchased at my local drug store for 4$ and a dotting tool which was purchased from Ebay.
